Achievements

Alison receives her Churchill Fellowship from Governor Bryce at Government House in 2004.

My Churchill Fellowship Award was in 2004 and took me to America for two months to conduct research into culinary arts degree programs. Upon my return I set about the arduous task of putting my research findings into a report which then ultimately led me to writing and designing the first ever graduate program for chefs in Australia. I won an Outstanding Educator Award in 2006 for the program which I am very proud of.

Outstanding Educator Award 2006.

I won an outstanding educator award in 2006 for the graduate program that I wrotefor qualified chefs, The Vocational Graduate Diploma in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management. I have been coordinating the program at Southbank Institute of Technology, where I work, for the last 18 months. It has been a resounding success and I hope it has made a big difference to chefs and our industry in Australia.
